Samay Sam Manifesto
“If it's not fun for you, chances are you will not do the training .” - Sam

Why Do We Do What We Do
Samay Sam has been created with a simple purpose: to contribute. We understand relationships are meant to enhance the quality of our lives. Why not approach animals, and importantly, ourselves, with this in mind? ‘’How am I feeling’’ can then become the most important question to ask ourselves about our dog.
Imperfection Is Part of the Process
At Samay Sam, this is the core of all our training. In our course, you will find moments where I personally make mistakes. The mistakes stayed because growth is part of the process.
Connection Before Control
Life is a series of challenges, from walking to talking to learning any new skill. One thing both Charline and I keep at the back of our minds is that we live to experience life. Our relationship with our animals is such that we recognize, at best, that we are guessing about our animals. We have not fully understood ourselves. Our core need is to connect, humility & understanding matter when communicating with another species.
Why Simplicity Matters

I ask myself how every person who has a job, a family, and a million things to take care of at home and at the office can juggle so many tasks and yet have enough moments to work with their dogs. This very challenge of time, resources, or technical knowledge has led us to create Samay Sam, where, if you call it training, it is simple, efficient, and fun — fun for you and your dog. If it’s not fun for you, chances are you will not do the training. All our courses will reflect that.
Core Philosophy
I have attended training seminars and conferences with the leading names in the industry. These were very pleasant and extremely informative experiences for me. My approach comes from the belief that knowledge and the right understanding are important. Yet, it is not because of my training skills, or definitely not my looks or smell, that the 35 dogs stick around me off leash in a forest — it’s simply because of what I do. I do not focus on them running far; I focus on how I can get them closer to me. I, for one, understand this very well.
Now, one simple condition for all our training is: if Sam can do it, so can you.
Proof? Our 4-year-old son can very effectively guide five chickens to where he wants them to go.
We keep it simple, and FUN!
Training is about timing, and as your training skills advance, you will get better and better. But I say simply approach your dog with the energy that you are in this together. Let’s enjoy the sessions, and if we get to our goal today, that’s great. If not, our relationship is already much better than yesterday.
Give them a reason, and they will follow.
P.S. If this article spoke to you, I’d love to keep the conversation going.
We have a free community where you can connect directly with me — and where Charline and I personally answer questions and share insights.
It’s a space for thoughtful conversations, practical guidance, and learning alongside other dog guardians who care deeply about their dogs. Simply click the link below:
